Green Jay Athletics Hosts Inaugural Volleyball & Cross Country Press Conference
A New Era Begins for Green Jay Athletics — With the inaugural volleyball and cross country seasons just weeks away, Jackson State Community College gathered media, coaches, and fans for a first-of-its-kind press conference, setting the stage for a historic year of competition.
Jackson, TN – Green Jay Athletics officially tipped off the excitement for the 2024–25 season by hosting a joint press conference for its volleyball and cross country programs ahead of their respective season openers.
Cross Country Head Coach Arthur Priddy and Volleyball Head Coach Alexis Kapales took the stage, fielding questions from members of the media about the road ahead, their expectations for the season, and the unique opportunity of serving as the inaugural head coaches for their programs.
Coach Kapales discussed the anticipation building for the Green Jays' first-ever volleyball season, while Coach Priddy shared insight into preparing his team for competition on their home course. Both emphasized the pride they feel in representing Jackson State Community College during such a historic time for Green Jay Athletics.
The Green Jays will make their competitive debut on August 23 when volleyball travels for its season opener, followed by the cross country team's home debut on August 30.
