Jackson State Community College Athletics to Host 2nd Annual Toy Drive

JACKSON, TN — December 13, 2025 — Jackson State Community College (JSCC) Athletics is proud to announce the return of its Annual Athletics Toy Drive, a community-centered initiative dedicated to supporting local families during the holiday season. The 2nd Annual Toy Drive will take place on Saturday, December 13, beginning at 9:00 a.m. in front of The Nest (JSCC Gymnasium).

Building on the success of last year's inaugural event—which served more than 300 children—the Green Jays are preparing for an even larger turnout. The Toy Drive embodies the College's commitment to service, community engagement, and holistic support for families across West Tennessee.

"We are excited to bring this event back and continue blessing the families in our community," said Dr. Kevin K. Lynum, Director of Athletics at JSCC. "Our student-athletes, coaches, and staff take great pride in giving back, and this initiative reflects who we are and what we stand for—service, compassion, and unity."

Event Details

  • Date: Saturday, December 13, 2025

  • Time: Begins at 9:00 a.m. and continues until all toys have been distributed

  • Location: In front of The Nest (Gymnasium), Jackson State Community College

Families arriving for the Toy Drive will be guided through a designated route, where JSCC staff and volunteers will deliver toys directly into vehicles. Gifts will be placed in dark-colored bags to allow parents and guardians the opportunity to wrap them later at home. Children must be present in the vehicle to receive a toy, and toys will not be distributed before 9:00 a.m.

In addition to gift distribution, Santa Claus will make a special appearance at Jackson State. Families will have the opportunity to park and take photos with Santa.

JSCC will also accept toy donations during the event, ensuring the College can continue meeting the needs of families throughout the region.
