JACKSON, TN – The Jackson State Community College baseball team secured a hard-fought 4–3 home victory over Freed-Hardeman JV on Wednesday afternoon at The Nest.
The Green Jays jumped out early and held off a late push from the visitors to claim the win. Levi Bryant came through in a clutch moment, delivering a 2-RBI single in the seventh inning, sparking a key rally that pushed Jackson State ahead. Ethan Quinn also added a sacrifice fly RBI to extend the lead to 4–1.
On the mound, Cade Steiner earned the win after tossing four strong innings, allowing just one earned run on four hits while striking out two. The bullpen held strong, with solid contributions from Luke Crook, Kaden Senter, James Fenton, and Cole McKinney, who combined to close out the final five innings.
Defensively, the Green Jays held Freed-Hardeman JV to just five hits and three runs, withstanding a two-run ninth inning to seal the win.
Jackson State looks to build on this momentum as they head into the weekend slate.
